Unique Horn

This animal has purposely been maligned by Lucifer, brought down to the level of a “myth” – this is no different then when the devil, through evil men, co-opted the stories of salvation in our stars, from the traditional meanings in Adam’s age, on down to the present misconceptions of astrological interpretations. Here is a web site for the correct view that even Job understood as a method God used to draw our attention to Him (Job 38): [1]

The same can be said of the Great Pyramid. The devil stole its design and used it to promote his religion – just look at our ordinary dollar bill. The Great Pyramid and its grand capstone is made to seem strange and rather eerie (with that seeing eye). Nevertheless, there is proof in the Bible that Joseph engineered its building and gave it the name: “the Stone of Israel” read all about it in this Bible verse below, and at this site: (“Joseph was Imhotep of Egypt”).    [2]

22 “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)” – Genesis 49 (compare Isaiah 8:14)

Since the Great Flood (and before) some of the animals had been tampered with. The unicorn was targeted, simply because of its uniqueness, and reference to God as “One” in purpose, power and unity. It has been reduced in size, made to look comical, and it’s horn as insignificant in length and breadth. It has even appeared to have been tamed, and it’s coat a mundane or of lack-luster hue and of ordinary, quite boring color(s). Frankly, the unicorn has been brought to almost nothing in personality, presence, appearance and bravery. It’s spiritual connection made weak and ineffective. In short, it’s significance as THE symbolic representative of an All-powerful and Mighty God is reduced to the rubbish heaps of modern day literature and fantastical story-tellers of the most bizarre sorts, untrustworthy and of an unscrupulous lot, them all!

THE TRUE UNICORN is none of this!
I cannot begin to tell you how angry and disappointed God is. NEVERTHELESS, he stacks this up with all the other lists of twisted words – every single one done by evil man, to place shame upon His unadulterated Word that can be found (without undue harm) in our trusted King James Version of the Bible – attacks too numerous to mention in this paper alone. Thus God’s Own reference to His description of the “unicorn” to Job, and then to Jacob (Israel), it’s immense power as a “furrower” and “gathering” instrument in the hands of an angry God, to bring His people together as an unstoppable force, is stripped from His hands. God uses that “stick” necessary to bring about a final resolution to the bloodshed, pain and hopelessness foisted upon our dying planet by the enemy of souls and his dark minions. The Devil’s accomplices fob off inferior hope on the masses, instead of SUPERIOR RESCUE and restoration – all simply because we were willing to accept their version of God as little better than a “fable;” and ALL that points to God, as “myth”!

and a constant hammering in of “facts” (falsely interpreted) that we (SOME of the older, and nearly ALL of the younger generation) had EVEN COME TO believe the LIE of evolution, YET somehow were able to shake it off (but barely) – it’s vestiges cling to and color our thought processes, so that we “show our maturity” by throwing out those “old childish fables” of a superstitious age.

our children have been radically convinced of same (hardly believing any supernatural stories in the Bible) – even hardened to at least examine the biblical, archaeological and geological proofs plainly set forth by very credible and reputable scientists of the Christian persuasion. If only they would pull back the covers, and see the lies so cleverly hidden underneath and the rot it has caused among the very young coming up within this false system, then they would understand the hopelessness of our children – the suicide and suicidal thoughts so prevalent, oozing out of the putrefying sores of our zombie-like society… no mystery allowed therein here.

TAKE COURAGE – It is not too late.
We CAN make a difference, and it may be just by our thinking of the UNICORN in a completely biblical way, that our world-view will be opened to see that MAGICAL WORLD BEYOND this dim and almost dead planet.

We are only asked to take just one step over into that other SPIRITUAL REALM to feel, smell, hear and experience the other Dimensions of GOD – His Nature, His Character, His Personalities painted upon, within and throughout His unique creation and creatures, set before us, as a long and on-going parade of His Attributes of Mercy, Justice, Truth. For “God Is Love”

“I am as one MOCKED of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is LAUGHED to SCORN.

But ask NOW the BEASTS, and they shall TEACH thee; and the FOWLS of the air, and they shall tell thee:

Or speak to the EARTH, and it shall teach thee: and the FISHES of the sea shall declare unto thee.

Who knoweth not in ALL these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat? With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding” (Job 12:4, 7-13 KJV).

“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him” (Psalms 34:8 KJV).

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way” (Psalms 119:103, 104 KJV).

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious (1 Peter 2:2-4 KJV). (“God Is Love” – 1 John 4:8).

“Unicorns in Antiquity
Unicorns are not found in Greek mythology, but rather in accounts of natural history, for Greek writers of natural history were convinced of the reality of the unicorn, which they located in India, a distant and fabulous realm for them. The earliest description is from Ctesias who, in his book Indika (“On India”), described them as wild asses, fleet of foot, having a horn a cubit and a half (27 inches) in length, and colored white, red and black

“….Single-horned goat
The connection that is sometimes made with a single-horned goat derives from the vision of Daniel:

And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. (Daniel 8:5)”    [3]

MY NOTE: it appears that quite a few of the European nations sport a “coat of arms” with an unicorn on it. This I believe signifies the one and only global church, who is interested in using its “notable horn” in pushing the people together as “one.” This possibly is a 2nd fulfillment of Daniel 8:5. Symbolism taken from the attributes of beasts, are quite commonly used by God for demonstration. God uses the unicorn as symbolic of when He shall “push” His people together as in Deut33:17 – but when an earthly religio-politico governmental entity does so, he blasphemes the God of heaven, by their substitution of God’s prerogatives.

Q: Would GOD Use a Mythic Creature to Represent Himself?

A: God Would Never Use a Mythical Creature to Represent Himself! Why would He – a mythical creature would be superfluous – in that, this would be a totally unnecessary and useless endeavor on God’s part, when God could, would and did create whatever His heart so desired – there is no need to rely on fantasy! And no way would the original creature be puny. By nature, he would needs be an animal of stature. He would be unique, because God is unique. In the beginning, there would have been one type. We hear descriptions of various types, because of the mixing of other animal species in with their DNA. Then there are the tales and fantasies of active imaginations or embellishment of facts. No matter, sweep away the false, and we will see God.

“Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:21-31 KJV).

In Deuteronomy 33:17 it says about God: “His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth” — the popes presume to take this symbol of the unicorn upon themselves – as having dominion of territory, authority over all the masses, and as the only ones capable of “pushing the people together” as one.

Well, what about the Unicorn?
Some say – oh, the unicorn is really describing a rhinoceros, as in Job 39:9-12. This is a trick that the devil has pulled on us. The rhino is a clumsy, nearsighted, ugly, lumbering thick-skinned, thick-headed cow of a sometimes desolate plain. He is jumpy, rash and not too bright. He grazes lazily on grasses, or bush, slowly making his rounds from one grazing field to another. His horn is protruding out of the nose and pointed back upon himself (a point well taken). His beady eyes, surveys all he sees (which is not much)…he contemplates his next meal, eating as much as possible. He snuffs up the wind with his nose to see if an enemy lurks nearby. They wallow, rest, fight.

OH YES, if I was God, this is how I would have wished to be portrayed – NOT!

Yes, “mystic” not “mythic

Well, why would God use him? Because the unicorn is really strong, beautiful, fierce when need be, gentle when treated with respect. He has speed, agility, perception and an all wise creature – a very spiritual animal, precisely because his horn is located in front of the pineal gland (the seat of our spiritual senses – the third eye, if you will).

The unicorn has been tortured and chased down, hunted to near extinction, because of his horn (which some say nullifies poison); thus they dwell in rarified aether regions “[the upper regions of air beyond the clouds”] – rocky outcroppings on mountainous peaks, or in dark forests… out of reach of wicked men who do the bidding of the evil one.

Q: Can we know what the Unicorn looks like?
A: Most likely.

Some say the unicorn looks just like a horse with a single thin spiraled horn attached – usually quite short. Yet what does Job say?

THIS is GOD TALKING – so we must pay close attention to His words:
“Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?” (Job 39:9-12 KJV)

ANALYSIS of What GOD Has Said —
HERE, we see that the unicorn’s horn is quite long – that is, long enough to use as a plowing tool to make a “furrow.” In order to have the horn used in this manner, It obviously (of necessity) would be attached to the forehead, and would need to also be strong – otherwise, it would naturally break. THEREFORE, this means the base of the horn would be substantial – like as a rhino. Unlike a rhino, that horn would need to be straight, not curved back; otherwise, it would not make a good plowing tool. A spiraling horn is also stronger, rotating the soil, as it tills, in that the soil would be aerated – much like the rotating blades we see on modern tiling equipment, which also turns the soil clods over, killing the weeds. Is God a fool, describing a feature for plowing, and it not be so!?

In our mind’s eye we have this vision of the type of horn necessary for God’s word to be true – after all, it is God talking directly to Job (not one of his addle-headed so called friends). Then, now that has been established, it only takes common sense that there needs be a head, neck, and shoulders to accommodate such an impressive feature as this substantial horn – a rhino horn [made up of hair] has been measured to be around 4 to 6 1/2 inches in diameter, and anywhere from 3 to 5 feet in length [just a side note: the inch is the closest to that perfect measure that was used to build the Egyptian Great Pyramid. So if anyone says to you, “why don’t you Americans switch already to metric?” Just say, “well, we’re pretty much close to ‘perfect’ already – so, why would we switch!?” – also, I found out that the metric system is bogus, and that it can be taken to its limits, whereby it’s measures are completely wonky].    [4]

Let’s for a moment imagine that it would be a horse to carry this horn. There is no getting around it – he would need to be built like a draft horse. The one problem…the horse’s forehead would not be wide enough, and he does not sprout horns, because of this. God never intended that a horse should carry a rack. Generals could not ride into battle, as the horns would block their view, and could cause serious harm. Another reason, is that the horse is everywhere, and was meant to be utilitarian, tamable/domesticated, and a companion to man.

What creature has a wide forehead? Enter the sheep.
God has given us a ready-made example…the Bighorn Sheep. The Bighorn’s forehead is perfect. He’s got the spongy mass behind those Huge horns, to absorb the impact of a battle. The only thing – their horns curl all the way around the back, circling at times back to the front again.

No problem – breeders have found that when you take the undeveloped buds of a goat’s horn, move them both to the center of their forehead, these 2 horns fuse together as one single straight horn (without a radical curve). This probably has not been done to a wild bighorn, but the possibility has been proven.

[a side note: this puts the horn straight over the pineal gland, causing the animal to possess a strong spiritual nature, according to one breeder]

The curves that are present in the bighorn sheep, has been proven (in other species) to straighten as they fuse and twist into one singular spiral horn. Come to think of it, having an unicorn sheep would seem to make a lot of sense, seeing that Jesus is the Lamb of God. But a better picture would be that, if a ram would be a goat – in that sheep follow along, and goats do their own thinking. There are scripture that show the goat as a sacrifice pointing to Christ.

Because goats are independent thinkers, separate from sheep. They are used as a “sacrifice” and a “sin” offering, in that the “sins” of the people are placed upon the goat that symbolizes Jesus, and the other goat that symbolizes Satan in the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:19; 16:7-10).

Since goats do their own thinking, this appears to be the best candidate for the Unicorn. Goats and sheep have triangular shaped faces. The animal we are looking for would have a pronounced triangular shaped face (as symbolic of the Godhead). The thick horn requires a very broad skull, an overall larger countenance than the heftiest of creatures – a considerable head of great build. A sinewy neck to hold up both the head and the horn. A well muscled broad chest on which to carry this mass, who by the way, is among (of all things) fleet of foot, as well as sure of foot (cloven footed), courageous and discerning. THEREFORE, this majestic creature must resemble a cross between a goat, sheep, bull/bullock/ox, draft horse, Arabian, thoroughbred and Savannah lion.

Why the horse and lion?
It is because Christ is depicted as riding upon a white horse, as a General and King in battle:20140629-164010-60010396.jpg

Revelation 19
11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns….
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS”

See also Revelation 6:2-8. I would imagine that Christ would be depicted on a horse of grand stature as that of the Friesian type (see photo below).

Jesus is also described as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” in Revelation 5:5, and mentioned in prophecy as a “lion’s whelp” and “an old lion.”

Genesis 49:8-10
8 “Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.20140629-164010-60010213.jpg

There is no other animal in existence quite like this “one-of-a-kind” mystic creature.

Though he is massive, the unicorn must have the build of a racer. He is well known for his speed, and easily outruns the fastest horse. So the waist would be tapered and hind-quarters slimmer than his broad front. His feet and hoofs would be as that of a draft horse. Yet for flexibility, agility and speed, the ankles (and forelimbs) would likely be smaller than the split hoof [remember, he dwells in secluded and/or rocky climes, such as the mountains].
There are photos of mountain sheep/goats that would make an adequate example, for these purposes (see below)

Goats clinging to rock!🐑

Without a doubt, the unicorn must sport a beard and a very long mane. It’s tresses would be thick and curled, as the waves of an angry sea.

Q: How could that be important?
A: The beard symbolizes great age and wisdom – a must for a creature that epitomizes the Godhead! Since we are describing the One God, we also must not forget His massive train (cowl and robe/cloak) that Isaiah exclaimed “filled the temple;” Even as “the house filled with smoke” (Isaiah 6:1-7). I have it on good authority that the raging seas, with their billowing waves are likewise symbolic of the Son representing His Father and His mysterious, massive form as depicted by Isaiah. (proof can be had in special revelation, through diligent bible study. For more info on that, please ask).

The unicorn’s eyes would be as a blue “sapphire” gem well set, as this “stone” is mentioned in Ezekiel 1 & 10 and in Exodus 24:10. So here we can imagine the beautiful blue eyes of the unicorn, in that we have seen photos of wolves and/or (mostly sled) dogs with those beautiful blue crystal eyes that see right through to your soul!

“As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox [bull/unicorn as in Dt.33:17] on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle [with piercing eyes]. ….And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. ….And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible [blue] crystal, stretched forth over their heads above….. And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a [blue] sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” (Ezekiel 1:10, 14, 22, 26-28 KJV)

The description of the unicorn is taken from the above quote in Ezekiel. In verse 10, you will note the creatures described as “the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle” – these creatures are all references to God. Jesus describes Himself as “the Son of man” while on Earth. Then John gives us a description of Jesus, as “the lion of the tribe of Judah,” in Revelation 5:5. The Holy Spirit has been felt as a strong wind, and as tongues of fire. When Jesus was baptized, The Spirit showed Himself as a pieceful “Dove” in Mark 1. However, for the last days, the scripture is telling us that The Spirit will put on His warrior clothes, as a fierce eagle protecting her young, with talons exposed and ready for serious battle.

Finally, God the Father is Represented for now, as an “Ox” with “two horns,” but when united with His Son, The Man Lion, and The Spirit, the Warrior Eagle, then that vision turns from the picture of an “ox” with two horns, to a vision of that ox-like creature, the most powerful creature of all, The Unicorn. We may know this is true, because of that Last Day prophecy in Deuteronomy 33:17
“His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

NOTE: the two horns of the “bullock” are represented by the two siblings born to Joseph, “Ephraim” and “Manasseh” (birthed in Egypt). Yet, these two become as one, when entwined together, as that of “the horns of unicorns.” God uses them to turn up the soil of His field, as would a plow in Job 39.

God’s people (for now) are divided into two major groups/camps, as depicted in Genesis 32:2 in order to be protected from that evil twin, Esau, who claims that the birthright and inheritance is his. Esau’s relatives today, are still after God’s true people. They are connected to the Babylonian religio-politico governmental anti-Christ leader, which is a three-fold union as depicted in Revelation 16:13. 20140629-164009-60009891.jpg

The “two camps” of God’s people are both called “Israel” – compare Genesis 32:2, 22-28,30 with Romans 11. When the “two camps” are united as “one” horn (Ezekiel 37:19-24). No longer will they be as rare as is the unicorn. Finally, they will emerge to the astonishment of the masses.

It is this writer’s belief that because of this fact just stated, that God will chase the unicorns out of hiding, as proof. The unicorns will come out of their mountain fastness and out of the deep black forests – or wherever they may secretly dwell.

FOR God’s people WILL APPEAR in beauty, as is the striking BEAUTY of the UNICORN: So, using the analogies of the Bible, as God does to describe Himself, then the unicorn’s coat would resemble the white purity of heart, and a rainbow mane for God’s promises. The great horn would then look as if dipped in warrior’s blood, atop a straight black spear-like shaft for judgment and Justice – with an equal length on the shaft, of the color for Mercy and Love – a bright yellow or white glowing light, fastened closest to the frontal lobe of the seat of Judgment and the pineal gland. (Compare, Rev. 10:1-2; Ezekiel 1:25-28).

T H E   E N D (?)
The trouble with pin-pointing down the exact colors, dimensions and type of animal it is, that there has been much tampering done on the poor creature’s DNA. I would imagine, right from the start, soon after there were groups of young sinful men to think up such things for their pleasure, as to monkey with the unicorn’s beauty, mystery and wonder. This was indeed a beginning of something much worse than the tamperings of just an unicorn’s genes. We only need look at our modern day equivalent of DNA manipulation — So, we have all these descriptions of the unicorn, and only a vague memory of what they were really like, before the attempt to completely dismantle any form of the true.

Unicorn HORN Counteracts POISONS?
People have this notion that the horn contains special properties. This idea began back when unicorns actually were roaming amongst us: “This powerful, mystical beast is depicted in many ways, but it always retains its single magical horn, and the love that Medieval and Modern people hold for the creature.” Quote taken from:
There is even a modern day interpretation of how the unicorn’s horns would be considered magical. In one of these sites, you can read that the unicorn would dip his horn in a body of water, and that this would purify the water. In Medieval times, royalty would dip a sheep’s or goat’s gallstones into their drink, to counter-act any poisons that may be in their cup, such as these sites below will explain:

“Modern examinations of the properties of bezoars by Gustaf Arrhenius and Andrew A. Benson of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography have shown that they could, when immersed in an arsenic-laced solution, remove the poison. The toxic compounds in arsenic are arsenate and arsenite. Each is acted upon differently, but effectively, by bezoar stones. Arsenate is removed by being exchanged for phosphate in the mineral brushite, a crystalline structure found in the stones. Arsenite is found to bond to sulfur compounds in the protein of degraded hair, which is a key component in bezoars” [6]

All this was thought of as silly notions, until our modern day scientist proved otherwise. In light of this proof – whose to say that unicorns did not have this ability. After all, God tells us in the Bible that He protects His people from poisonous things. Therefore, a creature who was clearly made to represent our One God, would certainly have this ability!
“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” Mark 16:18

MAGICAL 144,000
From this, we could draw conclusions that God’s people, the 144,000, will have unique and seemingly magical abilities, as well. They follow after the steps of Jesus, Who said that His people would do “greater works” than He did (John 14). They will have the knowledge of curative properties, more than just their touch. They possibly will carry certain potions/herbs and healing waters to bring about remarkable healing. Their words and presence will carry much power. Their prayers much weight. They will be swift of foot, or sometimes seeming to melt into the mist, disappearing as if in a moment – even, as did Philip in Acts 8:39 or as did Jesus when the crowd had thought to throw Him off a precipice (Luke 4:29-30).

20140629-182822-66502714.jpgWE KNOW that the “greatest” evangelism to have ever taken place, is because of Jonah’s shocking experience and his glaring skin transformation, that Nineveh sat up and took notice and repented in “sackcloth and ashes” from the king on down to the cattle (Jonah 1-4). This story is a window into the shocking transformation of God’s Last Day people to give that final push, before the plagues hit with violent, never before seen FORCE – Matt.24:20-24

WELL THEN… do you suppose that the 144,000 will likely have an “unique horn” of light sprouted from their third eye? After all — it is God who uses His creatures to reveal Him – especially man who is in His “Image.” The lower creatures as well reveal the finer details of God’s character and nature. God always “saves the best for last.”

MORE on the unicorn:
“The most accepted form of the unicorn is as an animal that looks like a horse [yet having a shorter muzzle and broader forehead] with a long spiral horn extending forward from its forehead. Colors vary from black to pure white. There have been reports of pastel colors but most of those have not been verified. The coat of the unicorn has also been compared to a light emitting pearl

The horn itself also varied in color. It may even change colors depending on mood and other circumstances. A unicorn’s horn is approximately one third the height of the animal.

The mane and tail are often reported to be wild and flowing. They can shine with a bright light or maybe be a gentler softer color. A unicorn’s eyes will be either deep blue or purple

….Unicorns have magical properties. The meat, hides, hooves, hair, and many internal organs are used as medicines. Anything made with these items should protect the person using them from disease.

The horn, called alicorn, is the most potent part of the unicorn. If a unicorn dips it’s horn into a body of water, the water will be free of impurities and safe to drink. The knowledge of this encouraged drinking vessels to be made of unicorn horn. Kings and queens use them to prevent poisoning of their drinks. It is the gift of goblets made from unicorn horn that royalty from one country might make to royalty of another favored country.

Powdered unicorn horn is used to purify water. It is used in medicines and potions. These medicines should repel or cure any communicable disease. The powder is also a powerful aphrodisiac.

Many localities use a unicorn in their coat-of-arms. Even Countries do. For instance a unicorn is featured prominently in the coat-of-arms for UK and Scotland.

The royal throne of Denmark was made from unicorn horns. Queen Elizabeth I received a prized gift of a unicorn horn and proudly put it on display. Marco Polo claimed to have seen unicorns in Java”   [7]

“Mystical Unicorns: From Myth to Reality
Unicorns have intrigued humankind for centuries. From Ancient to Modern times these magnificent creatures have filled our storybooks, inspired our artists and riddled our imagination. Their legend is considered one of the most mysterious of all creature folklore, yet the Unicorn has come to symbolize things such as purity, strength, hope and prosperity. The horn is even said to possess magical healing powers and if touched would bring good luck. Modern man’s knowledge of this mysterious beast has stemmed mostly from ancient and biblical sources but its cultural impact spans the world! There has not been a sighting in many years yet recently things have changed . . .The Legends are true . . .”.   [8]

“The search for the unicorn, and proof of its existance, dates back almost as far as the legends which surround it. Ctesias spoke of the unicorn in the court of Darius II, the King of Persia in 416 BC. Chinese writings date back to 2800 BC. The men of the ancient world believed in the existance of the unicorn, so the object of their searching was to FIND it, not to PROVE it existed. It wasn’t until later in history that man began to DOUBT the unicorn’s physical existance.

“In the ninth century, Margoulies wrote, ‘It is universally held that the unicorn is a supernatural being and of auspicious omen; so say the odes, the annals, the biographies of worthies, and other texts whose authority is unimpeachable…..

“The decline of the unicorn began with the Renaissance and the advent of scientific thought. The beliefs that had held for thousands of years began to crumble when man could not prove the existance of the unicorn.

“Systematically, report after report of a unicorn was attributed to a more believable occurance of a more mundane animal. Rhinos, goats, and horses were all considered explanations of unicorns. As technology advanced, more exact tests and record keeping were developed, which added to the mounting evidence AGAINST the unicorn. Finally, the unicorn was added to the list of animals regarded as ‘mythical’, and would later only be found in children’s stories and other fables.

“What of the unicorn today? ….Odell Shepard wrote, ‘It is not that the men of the Middle Ages who believed in unicorns were less intellegent than we; their intellegence was turned in a different direction… we wrong ourselves when we insist that if they cannot make good their flesh and blood actuality on our level we will have none of them’. To find the unicorn, as the ancients did, we have to unlearn what we have learned; we must go back to an earlier way of looking at the world. Only then will we find the unicorn.

‘Well, now we have seen each other,’ said the unicorn, ‘if you’ll believe in me, I’ll believe in you. Is that a bargain?’ Lewis Carroll”    [9a]
“….There are 88 recognized constellations. Monoceros is the almost invisible unicorn”    [9b]

“…Perhaps the first person ever to see a unicorn and report it carefully was the Chinese emperor Fu Hsi, who lived some twenty-eight hundred years before Christ…”    [9c]
