Regardless of the Outcome of the Presidency,
“Jesus said His followers were NOT to fight Political Leaders of this world, in that His kingdom was NOT of this world!
[neither are we to join with them in their fight]
Q: “Where is it in the Bible that God’s people join with political leaders and take over the world?
A: “Well, you see it in Revelation 17:1-7,15 – the “whore” church with her “harlot” daughters who do just that!” 🅰
However, we ARE to COMPLY with their wishes.
Paul gave us directive in the area of compliance to those in leadership:
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” Romans 13:1-2
IS The above text a pretty Strong Warning – or is it just me? 🤔
“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors… For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free [in Christ], and… the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.”
(1 Peter 2:13-17)
Also, these other two:
“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready to every good work, to speak evil of no one …”. We are to pray “for kings and all who are in authority.” Titus 3:1-2; 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
Christians are to respect government authority — even those in positions of authority who have abused their offices.
For Jesus flatly stated,
“My Kingdom is NOT of THIS World”!
“Pilate [said]…Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My kingdom not from hence.” John 18:35-36
To be honest,
It must be highlighted as quite different to be “led” by erring “leaders” than to respect and obey them. We can “obey” as long as it does not violate God’s directive or requirements for us in obedience out-lined in Acts 4:18-20; 5:40
So, be careful,
When we believe and follow “leaders that do err” – we will be “destroyed” –
“For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Isaiah 9:16; Matthew 15:14
When God tells us to honor and respect our leaders.
It is in a sense they are as our “mother and father” of the the 5th commandment (Ex.20)
God, warns us that we must cooperate with Babylon’s leaders
In order that we would not be destroyed. At this point in time, God is wishing to preserve a people that will vindicate His name. Read this, God’s counsel for us
(at this time) in Jeremiah 27🅱
🅰 Paraphrase of a quote by Pastor Tom Horn, Evangelist, TV Personality & godly YouTube protagonist on the sad loss of our Christian Roots & Republican values.
🅱 “And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
“Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
“For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
“But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.”
“From the beginning God has wrought through His people to bring blessing to the world. To the ancient Egyptian nation God made Joseph a fountain of life. Through the integrity of Joseph the life of that whole people was preserved. Through Daniel God saved the life of all the wise men of Babylon. And these deliverances are as object lessons; they illustrate the spiritual blessings offered to the world through connection with the God whom Joseph and Daniel worshiped. Everyone in whose heart Christ abides, everyone who will show forth His love to the world, is a worker together with God for the blessing of humanity. As he receives from the Saviour grace to impart to others, from his whole being flows forth the tide of spiritual life.” –
