Don’t get me started on that!
We travel down a rocky road when we
Embark upon that seemingly simple act of “Boycott”
I have several friends that believe in boycotting.
And I know their heart is in the right place,
but it seems their belief system
I remember when that poor little clerk boycotted the “Gay” couple
From getting their marriage license. As I had predicted, the focus
Would almost eventually boomerang onto her and her lifestyle.
It really turned nasty – and I believe I saw the latest, where some
news article mentioned this clerk had been married four times.
Ok — enough of that.
I think the latest boycott going around is “Monsanto” and how
They have poisoned us – that’s a good one and for all the right
Reasons. Don’t use their stuff (boycott, if you will) if it poisons
You, or is bad for your health.
Yes, by all means:
Do not have anything to do with ANYTHING affecting your well-being.
I boycott ALL liquor stores.
Well — maybe not. When I had to, I would go in to get a snack 😔
Then sometime I would ask for a gift for the blind, or sometimes
There were blind in there — oh, will it ever end 😳
Yet, to boycott whatever is out there, because of “evil” people,
Who are owners, or presidents, or CEOs, or managers, etc., etc.
Well I’m afraid you will need to find you a place deep in the woods,
Or someplace on a mountain top, to live…
& even then.. I don’t know —
Probably somebody evil
Sells cornmeal in the
Think about it,
Just about everything needed to live in the city, is run by a lot of
Either marginally “good” people, or truly really “bad” people.
The NWO Elite, are probably the most evil people ever to exist.
Yet, I don’t know their heart – so who can say, they might be
But does that mean we quit the United States?
Oh, I forgot… Revelation 13:3 says, the “whole world” is
Corrupt and “all the world wondered after the beast” —
“All the world”? — well, it does say, “all.”
What was it that Paul said?
That’s right, he said, “What then? are we better than they?
No, in no wise: for… they are all under sin; As it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one…” 🅰
It’s really a good idea to just go ahead and live in the Deep
Woods. (Not time to move to the mountain tops….yet 😘)
Just some Bible facts on Boycotting:
(purposely not listing All the practical reasons NOT to boycott)
1. The apostles wanted to boycott some who were “…casting out devils” in Jesus’ name, because they were not one of them. Jesus said, “….Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.” Luke 9:49-50
2. There were some leaders who wanted to trap Jesus into boycott the government & not pay taxes to Caesar. Yet, Jesus’ response in handling Rome’s corrupt government is, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. (And they marvelled at Him).” Mark 12:14-17
3. Judas wanted to boycott Mary Magdalene for wasting burial perfume on Jesus, when it could have been sold to help the “poor” — and beside that, the perfume was bought with I’ll gotten gains (you know… Mary was a prostitute — ssh). Matthew 26:7-13
I could give you loads more “boycott” instances in the Bible, during the time of Christ.
I won’t give you any suggestions about what was done in Old Testament times. Israel was under a Theocracy during that time. We are not living under a Theocracy today.
Now we border on dictatorship and Fascism.
However, in the counsel given Jeremiah, from God, is that even though “Babylon” is a pagan system of government, we are to live in peace under it. Jeremiah 27:9-11
Well, to me that’s another word for giving something up that you really like, but are willing to “sacrifice” in order to make a statement to those in our society — whether business owners, or fellow citizens. As well as hurt, cripple or demolish the industry which promotes the detestable thing.
NOTE, the word “Sacrifice” – then hear God’s voice, and His call to personal holiness, when He said (through Samuel the prophet) to Saul,
“Hath the LORD as great delight in… sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…” I Samuel 15:22
Boycott? I think not.
Don’t “sacrifice” your safety, your health, or personal inconvenience, just to make a Statement to the World, or to feel good about doing something to stem the tide of evil.
A much BIGGER Statement would be to “Obey” the LORD, Jesus Christ. To enthrone Him upon your heart. To tear down our “rebellion” — which is another name for “witchcraft” as I Samuel 15:23 reminds us: “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry…”.
Even so, as Halloween approaches- don’t practice “witchcraft” in your heart, while admonishing the guardians of those children, who dress up as “little witches.”
Let your light so shine,
In that the “little witches” and “little goblins” (& their escorts) will see the contrast you present in your life, and your choice to live out Personal Holiness for God, and Not the natural rebellion that is wanting to rise up.
“Sacrifice”? – well maybe,
If it means to “sacrifice” self on the altar, even as Jesus said, “follow Me.” 🅱
Editor in Chief,
🅰 “What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
🅱 “He [Jesus] said unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love thou Me?
Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, Love thou Me?
And he said unto Him, Lord, thou know all things; thou know that I love thee.
Jesus said unto him, Feed my sheep. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When
thou wast young, thou girded thyself, and walked whither thou would:
but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and
another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou would not.
…And when he had spoken this, He said unto him, Follow Me.
Then Peter, turning about, sees the disciple whom Jesus
loved [John] following. …[and] seeing him said to Jesus,
Lord, and what shall this man do? [& Jesus said]
…what is that to thee? follow thou Me.”
